I have had comments on my Instagram posts in the past asking me if hemp would ever be used for denim. My response was that mills are constantly inventing new materials and combinations that I was sure there would be eventually. I had no idea that it would happen within the year!
Levi's and Outerknown have collaborated to bring you some of the most sustainable jeans ever, as the crop has now become legalized. Levi's states that the material has been cottonseed to mimic the feeling of cotton using very little energy or chemical processing.
Hemp is known for its ability to capture carbon from the air and can also decontaminate polluted soils. It also requires a significantly less amount of water to grow compared to cotton.
