Denim Days Nashville Round Up

Denim Days was in full swing last weekend down in Nashville and I was lucky enough to get the chance to attend! I wanted to write a post on why you should be attending the next Denim Days event.

I don't know about you, but I have an extreme love for denim (clearly). When you put hundreds of people in one place with that same kind of passion, it really gets you feeling some type of way. All of the vendors, from mills to brands to one off local artists, are so inspiring and so well curated by the event organizers to offer a well rounded denim experience. They take you all through the process.

Soorty and Tencel were there showing consumers what it takes to actually construct denim fabric and how more sustainable fibres can be used to create beautiful indigo products. We saw how to indigo dye with natural indigo dyes from Stony Creek, and how their dyes can be used at Gina Binkly's stall with her amazinghand dyed clothing and hankys.

Of course the event is filled with LOADS of denim/ indigo shopping opportunities, as well. There were so many amazing vintage vendors (my faves are Left Hand Twill and Worn and Company) to find that one of a kind piece you've been missing. I picked up a pair of amazing vintage white Levis' from Left Hand Twill.

There are also many established and upcoming brands to shop from, as well. To name a few of my favourites we saw Atelier and Repairs, Kings of Indigo, Tenue De Nimes, and CMB Denim! I got a beautiful workwear coat from CMBD and haven't taken it off since.

Another reason I try to attend Denim Days is because of the talks they have throughout the weekend. The panels and discussions are always so educational and I find myself walking out with a whole lot of knowledge. I discovered Soles4Souls at one of the talks last weekend and am very excited to start working with them.

Lastly, my absolute favourite part of Denim Days is the community. The event brings like minded people together in a fun environment to connect and make new friendships. This is my favourite reason for attending because I get to connect and reconnect with my blue friends! The denim scene isn't huge in Toronto, but I am here to change that. Please message me if you love denim and would like to hang!

I am going to be hosting Toronto Denim Hangs events if there is interest :)
